Woe is me...

Sunny Day

I broke my hooky.

Seriously! I feel like the crochet gods don't want me to make this purse.

First, I bought the yarn before Christmas and then I was so busy with my Christmas projects that I never got started. When I finally sat down to make this, I ran out of yarn only to find out that it had been discontinued!! Gaaah!!

THEN - As luck would have it, I seriously just *happened* to drive by the yarn company's retail outlet (what are the chances?) and they had exactly enough yarn in a "seconds" bin for me to finish my project. The downside was that the dyelot wasn't the same so the colour was off. I was so thrilled to find the same yarn, that I ripped out the whole purse to start over so I could blend the old and new yarn and disguise the colour difference.

And today, JUST as I was about to start the handles and finish it up.... MY HOOK BROKE!!!!!!!!!

I smell defeat.

I need to walk away from this project for a while, it's making me angry,

Don't let a hook stop you from making such a cool bag! The finished product will be gorgeous! I've been looking for this pattern for weeks, and can't find it anywhere. Would you be willing to share or trade for the charts? I'm craftydiva on ravelry. Let me know...
